The Aftermath

Muggs, Gamo, and Kareem were all pronounced dead on the scene while Deja was taken into custody. She was charged with a slew of crimes, including the murders of over a half dozen police officers. She pled not guilty and people from all over the country immediately came to her aid, financially helping with her legal defense. As Deja fought for her freedom, the small-town massacre of police sparked a movement that trigged more police shootings across the country. It also triggered more protest nationwide. People were starting to take police brutality as serious as it always was.

The more people started to fight back, the more the country became undone. The government was in complete panic and disarray of how to handle this awakening. There was an emergency meeting called with all law makers to rewrite laws on deadly force. The laws were voted on and passed across the nation. Deja went on to fight and win her cases in court after having her trial moved to another city. She vowed to return to school and pursue her law degree for her brother, Gamo, and Kareem. The four of them would always be held as villains in the eyes of most Americans, but heroes in the eyes of many others.
